Custom built for Ken Dawkins, former THIEL VP of Sales. Meticulously cared for. Autographed by Jim Thiel and Kathy Gornik. These are as good as it gets.

One-of-a-kind speakers, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
Ken Dawkins led the North American sales team for THIEL throughout my tenure at the company and has remained a friend and mentor since we began working together in 2005. His outstanding taste in jazz and keen eye for finer things naturally led him to build a world class system to celebrate his wedding in 2001. He chose a pair of CS6s but with a special dark honey stain over bird’s eye maple. The figure is rich and detailed but with a much darker than usual hue.
The bottoms are autographed by Jim Thiel and Kathy Gornik.
Inevitably, large speakers suffer bumps, nicks, scratches and bruises over their lives, but not these. They are in exceptional, near-new condition. Corners are sharp, miters are tight, finish is clean. They do not show any evidence of ever having been mistreated. In fact, they have been meticulously cherished since they were first unpacked. The slightest damage is noted on one speaker in the pictures below and is only visible upon very close inspection.
These have been connected to Bryston 7B SST2 Mono amplifiers (also available for sale) since the amplifiers were released, and Classe mono amps prior, so they have never endured high distortion or amplifier clipping.
I have personally inspected these loudspeakers and guarantee that they are free of defects in the drivers and crossovers.
Ken is sad to see these go. His new home does not have a space that can suitably accommodate them. It is our hope that they can find a new owner who not only appreciates the remarkable sound quality they are capable of, but wishes to celebrate the THIEL legacy with these truly unique and wonderful loudspeakers.
Transportation is in reinforced factory packaging and will be negotiated based on buyer’s location.
