They really can do everything
By 1990, Dolby Surround and Pro Logic were becoming familiar trademarks, not necessarily because of residential ubiquity, but for their ability to throw sound effects in the cinema. Dolby Digital would shortly follow in 1992.
THIEL took note of the growing home theater market and introduced our first Coherent Source bookshelf speaker, the SCS. The sense of realism provided by our coherent source approach plus the novel sense of immersion Dolby provided.
Insofar as I can discern, these three black ash SCS cabinets were never serial numbered meaning they were built by Rob Gillum during his ownership of Coherent Source Service. They were sold to a friend-of-the-brand and former THIEL employee who is now consigning them through us.
These have been comprehensively tested and sound exceptional and have minimal cosmetic wear commensurate with age. No grilles are available. Sold as a trio. Local pickup and shipping are OK.
