Sound Anchors Stands for CS3.6

Sound Anchors has a long history of building high quality stands and other upgrades for high end audio brands. They go way back with THIEL starting with plinths for CS5s, CS3.6s and even CS2.2s. THIEL commissioned stands from them for PCSs and MCS1s.

Rather than being hollow, these stands are filled with a permanent slurry preventing the steel tubing from ringing. They’re also welded so there is no assembly required or parts to loosen over time. This kind of robust construction leads to heavy parts. Each plinth weighs about 22 pounds.

I’ll include the spikes plus some elastomer dots (originally supplied by Sound Anchors) that will fit between the speaker and stand.

This is the only pair of CS3.6 plinths we have. I believe THIEL bought these from Sound Anchors many years ago and CSS inherited them upon THIEL’s closing. In our room, bass becomes punchier and soundstage spreads out a bit. Plus, they protect your speakers from errant vacuum cleaners!

Condition is good. There is some small evidence of previously chipped paint that’s been retouched, but it’s unnoticeable from more an a couple feet away.
